It’s time we changed the nature of a listless New Year.

We have culturally ingrained a system of blowing our load by the end of the year and if we hadn't already accomplished this by December 31, then we are somehow predisposed to do it on new years eve (by midnight...tick tock)

We promptly follow this up the next day by the actual physical onset of depression, which is a combination of sugar withdrawal and alcohol rehab all coupled with the self judgement of things we wished we had done better last year.

Happy Frekin New Year.
What a mess.

... I hope that’s not you.

Maybe you found us because you are looking to revamp that lifestyle
or maybe you found us because you can swing that way, but you understand the importance of balance and moderation (she says as she shoves half a non-vegan beautifully buttered scone into her pie hole)
or maybe you found us because you, like ourselves, on the best of days - understand that may indeed not be the key to balance and blissfulness.

After the scone, the reality is that if we can look at the things that we might otherwise judge ourselves for -- in light of why they might be valuable — we will find that they too can help us find joy and that the true antithesis of wellness is actually self loathing.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again (and again and again...) beauty truly comes from within. I wanted to touch base a few weeks into the new year as a refresher: you are your own best guide.

I want to take the new year as an opportunity to align with the things I care about most and satiate the thoughts sparked by my various curiosities. I choose to continue to build consciousness and ultimately grow my love for all things.

If you haven't already taken the time to breathe into the lessons that you've learned (good, bad or otherwise) it's never too late.
2019 politics taught us to be patient
2019 stars showed us polarity
2019 cannabis shed light on our history

and from this and much more, we get to dig our heals in...to feel rooted in everything we've come from and let our shoulders roll down and back as the crown of our head reaches toward the sky.
Knowing that it is a gift to move forward.

I hope to bring more insight to the table on all things aforementioned in more detail this coming year by sharing our knowledge in video format with our community.

Sharing stories (Tea Time with Tante Bam Bam), forming rituals (Ritual Guide) and demystifying the industry (Deeply Green)

We also want to hear from you what you want to know from us.

All things in ceremony

Another thought: What if cannabis was not the catalyst to so many American epidemics, but rather the catalyst to finding the solution?
I tell the story of how cannabis became so vilified, and what potential opportunities we might unlock by seeing it in a new light here on TedX
